
Sombwa Musunsa is a Sport Development Officer in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development in Zambia where he assists in coordination of sport development activities with various stakeholders including the National Sports Council of Zambia, National Olympic Committee of Zambia, the National Paralympic Committee of Zambia, National Sports Federations, Sports NGOs, sport administrators, coaches and athletes. Sombwa Musunsa also works as a National Podium Performance Programme Coordinator in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development, the position that allows him to coordinate high performance sport programmes for athletics, boxing and judo. Through the Programme, he has been able to provide guidance on provision of athlete support services which has resulted in some of the high performance athletes participating favourably in international events. Sombwa has worked with reputable sports organisations, including OYDC Zambia- Sports Development Centre (formerly, the Olympic Youth Development Centre Zambia), where he was attached as Deputy Director in 2019. He has worked on a number of projects including revision of the National Sports Policy and the National Sports Council Act. As a traine Strategic Plan Workshop facilitator, Sombwa has worked with local sport organisations on designing their Strategic Plans and was co-lead in designing the Netball Association of Zambia current strategic plan and was Team Leader during the development of the current National Olympic Committee of Zambia strategic plan. Sombwa is also one of the six National Course Directors for Sport Administration Courses in Zambia. You can expect 100% transparency, full dedication and commitment to duty when working with Sombwa.
